How Courseona collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Corbello Inc., operator of Courseona (the "Service"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use https://courseona.com, our app at https://app.courseona.com, and related services. It also describes the rights you have over your information.
We are the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions, contact us at courseona-privacy@corbello.co.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quiz and onboarding responses (for example your goals, experience level, and preferences) used to build your personalized plan;
- Account details such as your name and email address;
- The name you choose to display on your certificate; and
- Messages and information you send us when you contact support.
Payment information
When you buy a plan, payment is handled by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle collects and processes your payment-card or billing details directly; we do not store full card numbers. We receive limited transaction information such as your plan, the amount paid, partial card details, and billing country.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data such as browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and interactions with lessons;
- Approximate location derived from your IP address; and
- Cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and personalize your 28-day plan and deliver the Service;
- Process purchases, subscriptions, and renewals, and provide receipts;
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- Send you service messages, and — where permitted — marketing about Courseona, which you can opt out of at any time;
- Measure, analyze, and improve the Service and our content;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to deliver the Service you purchased); your consent (for optional marketing and certain cookies); our legitimate interests (to secure, analyze, and improve the Service); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for as long as necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of marketing. Residents of the EEA/UK and of U.S. states such as California have additional rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR and laws like the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them.
To exercise any right, email us at courseona-privacy@corbello.co. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. International transfers
We operate from the United States and may process your information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, take additional steps to notify you where required.
